The American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM) is pleased to announce that it will begin accepting applications for the Healthcare Administration, Leadership, and Management (HALM) subspecialty certification exam on March 13, 2024.

HALM certification through the ABPM is open to physicians who are currently certified in an ABPM specialty or subspecialty and who meet the eligibility criteria. Review the eligibility requirements at https://www.theabpm.org/become-certified/specialties/health-care-administration-leadership-and-management/. Physicians will be able to apply online through the ABPM website.

Physicians who are certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) or the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) must apply through their respective Board; physicians who are certified by an ABMS Member Board other than ABPM, ABA, or ABFM must apply through the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM).
