| Pathway Purpose | This pathway is intended for physicians who have completed an ACGME-accredited fellowship program of at least 24 months in Medical Toxicology that is acceptable to the ABPM. |

| Board Certification | Yes, primary certification from ABPM (Other diplomates should apply through ABEM). |
|
| Fellowship | Full-time fellowship in the subspecialty area. The fellowship may only be used to fulfill the criteria of one subspecialty. | 24 months |

| Letters of Reference | Letter of reference from a physician who is certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties and can attest to the applicant’s experience in the specialty area for which the certification is being sought. Reference writer will be notified to complete letter electronically. Alternatively, applicant may upload letter signed by reference writer. | If 24 months past fellowship completion date, 1 letter. |

*Without an MPH degree, you are still required to complete coursework (worth 3 credits each) in epidemiology, biostatistics, health services administration, environmental health sciences, and social and behavioral sciences. Total practice years refers to the amount of practice time in the specialty area for which certification is being sought.
