    EXAM DAY

Your access to initiate test day activities is provided in the pre-exam email you will receive from Paradigm Testing/MonitorEDU.  The link will be activated within 24 hours after you complete your pre-exam configuration.  You determine the time you would like to begin your exam by accessing the test day link that is provided in the email you receive from Paradigm Testing. You may test at any hour, with 24×7 support.

When you access the test day link, you will be assisted through the following steps:

    1. A brief, second verification of computer, phone and internet readiness
    2. Verification of your identity (government-issued photo identification required)
    3. Scan of your testing room (using your smart phone)
    4. Positioning of your phone as a second camera (You will need to have the phone attached to the charger during the exam to make sure that it will not lose power. You will be asked to put your phone on “airplane” mode and turn the wifi on (note: you need to have access to a wifi network during the exam))
    5. Launch of your ABPM MOC exam

    Please note:

    1. This is a two-hour examination consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions. The examination is divided into two (2), 1-hour sections. Each section consists of 50 multiple-choice questions. You must complete both sections in a single sitting, but are allowed a break between sections (up to 15 minutes). You will not be allowed to return to the first section after the break.
    2. You are allowed to take notes during the exam on an erasable white board or scratch paper. Examinees will be asked to show the proctor that the paper or board is blank at the beginning of the exam and all notes must be destroyed to the proctor’s satisfaction at the conclusion of the exam.
    3. You will be able to ask your proctor any questions via a text chat box during the exam.

For more information about the exam, please see the online MOC exam FAQs page.
