| Pathway Purpose | This pathway is open to physicians who have completed a 24-month (or longer) ACGME-accredited fellowship in Clinical Informatics. |
| Board Certification | Current primary specialty certification through an ABMS Member Board, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC), or the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) Note: American Board of Pathology (ABPath) Diplomates should apply for the Clinical Informatics certification exam through ABPath. |

| Letters of Reference | One letter, required only if applying between 24 months and seven years after completing fellowship.1 The letter must be written by a physician who is certified by an ABMS member board, the AOA, the RCPSC, or the CFPC, and who can attest to the applicant’s experience in Clinical Informatics. |
